Meet the Technician

I began working in the locksmith trade in 2005 and have spent more than two decades working hands-on with locks, safes, commercial security hardware and access-control systems.

My experience has ranged from commercial and residential locksmith service to institutional locksmithing in a major Las Vegas resort, where I worked with large master-key systems, thousands of locks, panic hardware and electronic hotel locking systems. Over the years, I have serviced and installed high-security safes, mechanical and electronic safe locks, commercial door hardware, master-key systems and access-control equipment.

As my career progressed, safes became an increasingly important part of my work. I later joined American Security Products, where I was hired as a Lead Safe Technician to help develop and build an in-house field-service team capable of servicing customers across the country. I also served as a Field Technician Trainer, helping train and mentor technicians in safe service, troubleshooting and proper field-service procedures.

In that role, I provided safe service for Fortune 500 companies and other major commercial customers across the country, working on traditional and electronic safes, smart safes and cash-handling equipment. My work included diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic safe locks, safe openings, installations, troubleshooting and field service.

That experience gave me something that can't be learned from a manual alone: years of troubleshooting equipment in the field and finding the right solution when a safe, lock or security system isn't doing what it's supposed to do.

Why Tru Tech?

Tru Tech USA came from two major changes in my life.

My family and I moved to Tennessee to be closer to family. Family was the reason for the move, and it became part of the reason I decided it was also the right time to build something of my own.

After more than 20 years working in the locksmith and security industry, I wanted to take that experience and build a company centered on the type of work I know best: professional safe and locksmith service performed by an experienced field technician.

Tru Tech USA is a small, owner-operated company. When you call Tru Tech, you're dealing directly with the technician doing the work.
